YIKES!! Is it really November already!?!?!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the crisp Autumn weather and fun fall activities. I realized the other day that I haven’t taken many photos this season *sigh* so I got myself outside and managed to get a few shots before all the leaves are gone.
I’m happy to report that last night we picked the lucky winner of the Handmade Quilt Wall Hanging. The winner has been contacted and out of respect for their privacy, they will remain anonymous.
As mentioned in our previous newsletter, this beautiful quilt was lovingly made by our dear friend Wendy as a fundraiser for my daughter Raquel who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. A HUGE THANK YOU to Wendy for her labor of love. And, another HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this collective effort to support Raquel. Your incredible generosity has eased some of the stress we’ve been under.
There aren’t adequate words to express the immense gratitude for the outpouring of love and support since I shared the news about Raquel's diagnosis. So many cards filled with the kindest words, so many emails and messages "checking in", so many “thinking of you” and “praying for you”, all the random funny memes that keep us laughing when we feel like crying… THIS IS EVERYTHING. Even though this is the toughest thing we've ever had to deal with, we truly feel blessed.
