Hello Lavender Loving Friends,
Somebody forgot to tell Mother Nature we flipped the calendar to October!! Last week we were in the 50's and today it's 80 degrees!! While I'm certainly enjoying this gift of beautiful weather, I can't help but wonder how these yoyo temps will affect our lavenders and gardens.
We've received lots of inquiries recently asking if we're still open even though lavender season is over. The answer is YES, we're still open. The last day of regular hours will be Saturday, December 23. We'll be open by appointment only during the winter months. For those of you who have already started your Holiday Shopping, I'm impressed!! Wish I could get it together like you!! It seems crazy that Christmas is only a few short weeks away. Don't panic, we're here to help. Stop in and explore the many wonderful gift options available in the shop. You'll find everything from handmade artisan products including bath & body, household, culinary, teas and tea accessories, aromatherapy jewelry, self-care, a fantastic assortment of home decor and accessories made by local artisans and so much more. We've also received inquiries about our Lavender Ice Cream. Yes, we will continue to carry our Lavender Raspberry Ice Cream as well as our Lavender Honey Ice Cream until our freezer is empty. Once we sell out we will not restock until the Spring. Be sure to bring your cooler so you can stock up. Thanks to our good friends at Bank Street Creamery for making these Oh So Good Lavender Ice Creams exclusively for us. And, speaking of yummy treats, a few weeks ago we introduced our new Lavender Shortbread Cookies which have been a huge hit thanks to Grace of Grace’s Cakes & Cookies. In the coming weeks we’ll be introducing new yummies to our Lavender Baked Goods offerings... stay tuned for announcements. Did somebody say Lavender Chocolates?? We’re all stocked up on Lavender Dark Chocolate and Lavender White Chocolate Bars as well as our scrumptious Lavender Chocolate Mousse. A HUGE Thank You to the Chocolate Making Goddesses at The Chocolate Shoppe for crafting this Lavender Chocolate Decadence we all need in our lives.
Only a few tickets remain for our first Sunday Supper. See full details for this exclusive special event, including the amazing menu created by Chef Ed Oliveira, on our website.
If we think of Autumn as the season of transition, then it's the perfect time to plan for colder months and the added stress of the holidays. To help you prepare for the coming weeks, we're thrilled to once again host our dear friends Vibha and Kimberly in The Cottage. Sessions are available by appointment only and they sell out every time. November 4 - De-Stress & Fortify Before The Holidays with Vibha Rana of Green Tulip Health & Wellness November 11 - Reiki with Kimberly Glaskey of Belle Ame Rocks
By the way, if you're not able to secure an appointment for either of these events, you can make an appointment to see Vibha and Kimberly in their offices. Vibha's office is in Hackettstown and Kimberly's office is in Washington. Make yourself a priority this season and take good care of yourself💜
I often get asked, "What else is there to do in the area?" Warren County is a beautiful place to visit with so much to do and places to explore. Of course, if you're looking for peace and tranquility, visiting us during the off-season is ideal. With fewer visitors this time of year, you can definitely appreciate the beauty and healing energy of our property.
Make a plan to visit Warren County on November 4 & 5 for the Annual Explore Warren History Trail - A Self-Guided Tour of Heritage Sites. Make it a Day Trip or better yet, make it a Weekend Getaway. Visit the Places To Visit Page on our website for places to stay like the Everitt House B&B, The Neighbour House B&B, and The RoseMaryInn.
While on our Places To Visit Page, you'll also find lots of other local treasures including great dining options which include our favorite places to grab a Lavender Cocktail made with our lavender simple syrup, like The Smashed Olive, The Inn at Glen Gardner, and Mama's Café Baci. And, let's not forget the Asbury Coffee Mill for deeeelicious Lavender London Fog Lattes.
Upcoming Special Hours: We will be closing at 2 pm on Sunday, October 15. We will be closed on Saturday, October 21.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this is your gentle reminder to make your mammogram appointment today and remember to do self-exams regularly. Early detection could save your life.
