Hello Dear Lavender Loving Friends,
Hope this newsletter finds you and your loved ones happy and healthy. I can’t believe how quickly this month is flying by!! June is right around the corner and the question on everyone’s mind is “When will the lavender be in bloom??” Well, we have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that we’ve suffered significant damage to most of our plants. The extreme prolonged freezing temps and ice storms this past winter, followed by an early spring and several frosts and the fluctuating temps have taken a toll on our plants. The good news is, it appears that we haven’t lost as many plants as I originally thought just a couple of weeks ago. While most of our plants have damage, they are all showing signs of life. And this is why it’s important to be patient with your lavender and not be so quick to pull them out. See my tips from April’s Newsletter.
Purple Watch will begin soon and I’ll be reporting on the bloom status as it happens. Fingers and toes crossed our plants continue to recover. Time will tell and I ask for your patience please.
If you’ve visited us recently, you’ve noticed some new products that I absolutely love. This season we've introduced a Lavender Eucalyptus Foaming Soap. It smells amazing and the rich foam feels luxurious while effectively cleaning your hands and yet its gentle on your skin.
Our Lavender Powdered Cleanser can be used on pots and pans, sinks, bathroom tub and fixtures or anywhere you want a little scrubbing power but it's not abrasive. I won't clean my kitchen sink with anything else!!
And my new favorite obsession (insert Angels Singing) Lavender Chocolate Sauce!! I love it drizzled on our new Lavender Lemon Shortbread Cookies or over a bowl of vanilla ice cream. And, I may or may not enjoy it by the spoon because sometimes you just need a little reward after a long hard day :)
By the way, notice that lovely lavender placemat?? These are also available in the Shoppe along with other beautiful handmade items made exclusively for us by our very own Wendy.
This season we partnered with Alexandra of Baked By Ally to bring you these deeeelicious lavender treats made exclusively for us using our Lavender Extract. The Decorated Lavender Sugar Cookies are almost too pretty to eat but don't let that stop you, we can get more :)
And my favorite, Lavender Lemon Shortbread Cookies. You're Welcome.
We're thrilled to once again partner with Bank Street Creamery for everyone's favorite ice cream!! Our freezer is stocked with Lavender Raspberry and Lavender Chocolate Chip made exclusively for us using our lavender extract. If you've never had lavender ice cream, you're missing out.
We're thrilled and honored to have partnered with our dear friend Terri Rozyla again to bring you the much loved Lunar Lavender Yoga Events, June 30 and July 21. Tickets are going fast so get yours before they sell out.
And, keep an eye out for two new events with Terri, Align & Dine on August 16 and Soulful Yoga Petite Retreat on September 21.
Here's a peak at the Pavilion project. We’re making great progress. Shout out to my amazing Father-In-Law Bill for giving us a hand!!
We've received several inquiries about Memorial Day. We will not be open on Monday, Memorial Day. We are open this weekend with our regular hours, Saturday & Sunday 10 am - 5 pm.
Wishing you all a Happy Memorial Day. As you enjoy the day off, remember to honor the fallen heroes and sheros who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
With Love & Gratitude,
Monica & Jim
